Privacy at a glance

  • We never sell your information

No data sales, no rented lists, no cross-context ad sharing — not now, not in the past 12 months.

  • We collect what a job needs

Name, phone, email, property address, and what happened — nothing more.

  • Opting out is one word

Reply STOP to any text, unsubscribe from any email, or email us and we’ll note it on your file.

Section 01

Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for trusting AZ Water Damage Restoration (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”) with your property. Most people reach this website on a bad day — a burst supply line, a flooded basement, a sewage backup, or smoke damage — and the last thing you should have to worry about is what happens to your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect through azwaterdamagerestoration.com (the “Website”) and through the phone calls, text messages, emails, and on-site visits connected to our restoration services (the “Services”), how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Who this policy applies to

  • Visitors who browse the Website without contacting us.
  • People who submit a contact, inspection, or estimate request form.
  • Customers who call, text, or email our dispatch line.
  • Property owners, tenants, landlords, and property managers we perform work for.

This policy does not cover the privacy practices of third-party websites we link to.

Section 02

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to answer your question, dispatch a crew, document a loss properly, and get paid for the work. Two broad categories apply.

Personal information you give us

  • Name — the property owner, tenant, or authorized contact.
  • Phone number — for dispatch, arrival windows, and job updates.
  • Email address — for estimates, photo reports, and invoices.
  • Property address — we cannot route a truck or scope a loss without it.
  • Service request details — what happened, when it started, which rooms are affected, whether the water is clean or contaminated, and any access notes such as gate codes or pets on site.
  • Billing information, if applicable — the name and address we invoice, and payment confirmation details. Card and ACH details are entered with our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Job documentation — moisture readings, psychrometric logs, equipment placement, and before/after photographs of the affected areas of your property, produced in the normal course of an IICRC S500-aligned restoration file.

Technical information collected automatically

  • IP address and general location inferred from it (typically city or metro level).
  • Browser type and version, device type, screen size, and operating system.
  • Referring URL — the search result, ad, directory, or link that brought you here.
  • Pages visited, time on page, session duration, scroll depth, and clicks on call, text, and form buttons.
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar identifiers described in Section 6.
  • Aggregated analytics and performance data such as page-load timing and error reports.

We also keep a short-lived record of form submissions in your own browser so a confirmation and reference number can be shown to you after you submit. That record stays on your device and is not readable by us.

Section 03

How We Collect Information

Directly from you

  • Contact and inspection forms on the Contact page, homepage, and service pages.
  • Quote and estimate requests, including the details you type into the “describe the damage” field.
  • Phone calls to (602) 755-0251, including any voicemail you leave.
  • SMS/text messages you send to or receive from our dispatch number.
  • Email to dispatch@azwaterdamagerestoration.com or to a project manager.
  • On-site conversations and paperwork — work authorizations, scope sign-offs, and completion certificates.

Automatically, as you use the Website

  • Cookies and similar technologies set on page load.
  • Website analytics that record page views and interaction events.
  • Server and hosting logs that record requests for security and troubleshooting.
  • Spam-protection checks on our forms, including a hidden field and a minimum completion time that help us tell humans from bots. These checks do not profile you.

From third parties

  • Property managers, landlords, or plumbers who refer a job to us on your behalf.
  • Review and listing platforms such as Google, where you may leave a public review that we can see.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, in aggregate reporting form.

We do not currently operate a live chat widget on the Website. If we add one, this section will be updated before it goes live.

Section 04

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes, and no others:

Service delivery

  • Respond to inquiries, calls, texts, and form submissions.
  • Dispatch a crew to an active emergency and give you an arrival window.
  • Schedule inspections, moisture-check visits, and equipment pickups.
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, sewage cleanup, and reconstruction.
  • Prepare estimates, change orders, and final invoices.
  • Communicate project updates, daily drying logs, and completion reports.
  • Send appointment reminders.

Business operations

  • Process payments and collect balances due.
  • Maintain project files, warranty records, and job history.
  • Train our team and improve customer service.
  • Measure which pages and campaigns actually help people find emergency help, and improve Website speed and usability.

Legal and protective

  • Comply with legal, tax, licensing, and Arizona Registrar of Contractors obligations.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of our forms and phone lines.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including lien and warranty matters.
Section 06

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use them sparingly, and we keep the Website light on purpose — when someone is standing in two inches of water, page speed matters more than tracking.

Categories we use

  • Essential cookies and local storage — required for the Website to function: remembering that you dismissed a pop-up, holding your form entry, and showing your submission confirmation. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
  • Performance cookies — measure load time and errors so we can fix slow or broken pages.
  • Analytics cookies — count visits and record which pages, calls, and form clicks happen, in aggregate.
  • Marketing cookies — used only if and when we run paid advertising, to measure which ads led to a call or a form submission.

Technologies that may be present

  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics and conversion events such as phone-tap and form-submit tracking. Currently in use.
  • Google Tag Manager — a container used to manage the tags above, if deployed.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — if and when we run search advertising.
  • Meta Pixel — only if we run social advertising; not required for the site to work.
  • Microsoft Clarity — aggregate usability and heatmap data, if deployed.
  • Google Maps and OpenStreetMap — used to display our office location and service-area maps. Loading a map may share your IP address with the map provider.

Managing your cookie preferences

  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all support this).
  • Turn on “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control in your browser; we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing, which is straightforward for us because we do not sell data.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Use your device’s advertising controls to limit ad personalization.

Blocking analytics and marketing cookies does not affect your ability to call us, submit a form, or receive service.

Section 07

Third-Party Services

Like any modern contractor, we rely on outside vendors to run the business. We share only what each vendor needs, and we expect them to protect it.

Categories of providers we may use

  • Website hosting and content delivery — serving these pages and keeping server logs.
  • Analytics and measurement — understanding site traffic and conversions.
  • CRM and job-management software — storing your project file, photos, and drying logs.
  • Payment processing — handling card and ACH transactions securely.
  • Scheduling and dispatch tools — routing crews and sending reminders.
  • Email and SMS delivery services — sending estimates, invoices, and updates.
  • Marketing tools — managing ads and review requests.
  • Mapping services — showing our office and service areas.
  • Accounting and legal advisors — under professional confidentiality obligations.

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy governing the data it processes. We encourage you to review the policies of the major platforms — for example Google — for details on their own practices.

Section 08

How We Share Information

Your information may be disclosed only in these situations:

  • Trusted service providers — the vendor categories listed in Section 7, limited to what they need to perform their function.
  • Subcontractors and trade partners — for example plumbers, electricians, HVAC techns, flooring installers, or an independent hygienist performing post-remediation verification. They receive your address, contact number, and the scope details required to do the work.
  • Property owners, landlords, or property managers — where they are the party authorizing and paying for the work on a tenant-occupied property.
  • Legal and regulatory disclosure — to comply with a subpoena, court order, tax or licensing requirement, or a lawful request from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers — if the Company is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records may transfer to the successor, which would remain bound by this policy or give you notice of any change.
  • With your consent — anything else, including publishing an identifiable review, testimonial, or job photo.
Section 09

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Technical safeguards

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption across the entire Website, including all forms.
  • Reputable, access-controlled hosting and business software.
  • Payment card data handled by a PCI-compliant processor rather than stored by us.
  • Spam and abuse filtering on forms and inboxes.

Administrative safeguards

  • Access limited to staff who need it to do their job — dispatch, project management, billing.
  • Unique accounts and password requirements for business systems.
  • Confidentiality expectations for employees and subcontractors.
  • Prompt removal of access when someone leaves the company.

Physical safeguards

  • Paper job files and signed authorizations kept in our secured Phoenix office.
  • Company devices protected by screen locks and encryption where available.
Section 10

Section 11

Your Privacy Rights

Whatever state you live in, you can exercise the following with us. We do not charge for these requests and we will not treat you differently for making one.

  • Access — ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or outdated details, such as a misspelled name or an old phone number.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to the exceptions below.
  • Opt out of marketing — stop promotional emails and texts at any time.
  • Cookie choices — manage or block cookies as described in Section 6.
  • Ask a question or complain — reach a human at dispatch@azwaterdamagerestoration.com or (602) 755-0251.

State privacy laws

Residents of California (under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA) and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and Oregon, among others — may have additional rights, such as the right to know the categories of information collected and disclosed, the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to appeal a denied request. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, opt-out rights are largely satisfied by default. Arizona has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute; we extend these rights to all customers anyway.

How to make a request

Email dispatch@azwaterdamagerestoration.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or call (602) 755-0251, or use our contact form. Tell us what you want and give us enough detail — usually the name, phone number, and property address associated with your inquiry or job — for us to verify that the request is really yours. An authorized agent may submit a request with written permission. We respond within 45 days and may extend once when necessary, and we will tell you if we do.

Section 12

Children’s Privacy

The Website and our Services are intended for adults — property owners, tenants, landlords, property and property managers. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email dispatch@azwaterdamagerestoration.com and we will delete it promptly. Where state law sets a higher age threshold for certain protections, we honor that threshold as well.

Section 14

International Visitors

AZ Water Damage Restoration serves customers in Phoenix and the surrounding Arizona metro area. The Website is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S. visitors.

If you access the Website from outside the United States, understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed within the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Website you consent to that transfer and processing. We do not target or market our Services to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

Section 15

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our business, technology, or the law changes — for example if we add a live chat widget, a new scheduling platform, or an advertising pixel.

  • The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
  • Minor edits, such as clarified wording, take effect when posted.
  • For material changes — a genuinely new use of your information — we will post a prominent notice on this page and, where appropriate and where we have your address, notify you by email.
  • Continuing to use the Website or our Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.

We recommend reviewing this page whenever you start a new project with us. Prior versions are available on request at dispatch@azwaterdamagerestoration.com.
